Lordship's Circular Despatch of the 31st of July, 1890, I have the honour to submit to Your Lordship particulars with the question of Sunday Labour in this Colony.

The Acting Attorney-General, while stating that no legislation existed here prohibiting Sunday-labour, at the same time informed me that many years ago an attempt was made to put in force the Statute of Charles II, but that the Magistrate, acting, Mr. Ackroyd believes, on the advice of the then Attorney General, decided that such statute was inapplicable to the local circumstances of the Colony, and no further action seems to have been taken in the matter.
